Sisters Day!

Today is Sister's Day everyone! This is a holiday my family made up awhile ago to celebrate sisters! I figured by spreading the word, maybe other poeple will celebrate, too!

Jim's Steaks on South Street are, in my opinion, the best steaks in the city! I took this picture from outside while we waited in line to take my sister there when she visited. How do you like your cheesesteaks? With or without? Provolone, American or Wiz?

In honor of President's Day i have chosen this picture of a historic site in Philly.  This is Independence Hall in the historic area of Center City.  Sorry I missed posting yesterday!

This is Boathouse Row along the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.  I love this area because each house is painted and designed slightly different from the others and at night they are all lit up with twinkle lights which is so pretty!  This shot was taken from the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) and of course I was not driving!!  (P.S.- its pronounced like skoo-kul, not school-kill) :-)

The Mummers have a long and rich history in Philadelphia and the Mummers Parade is the highlight of the year for the Mummers groups!  The parade is always fun and interesting and is a great tradition for Philadelphians!

Magic Gardens

The Magic Gardens is one of Philadelphia's most unique spots!  The artist, Isaih Zagar, created similar murals all over the city.

Valley Forge in the Afternoon

No visit to Philadelphia is complete without a stop at historic Valley Forge.  This photo was taken in the afternoon, with a nice view of the almost full moon a couple days before New Years Eve.
