Boathouse Row

This is a view of Boathouse Row from the river. The small waterfall is from the river's water works, which used to be the biggest water treatment plant in the country, and is now a museum about water.

Out of town...

In case you are wondering why I haven't been posting I am out-of-town, visiting my sister in Portland, OR!  I will resume posting Philly pics on Monday! :-)  In the meantime, please enjoy this dolphin picture my husband just took  in Sarasota, FL.

This is Boathouse Row along the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.  I love this area because each house is painted and designed slightly different from the others and at night they are all lit up with twinkle lights which is so pretty!  This shot was taken from the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) and of course I was not driving!!  (P.S.- its pronounced like skoo-kul, not school-kill) :-)

USS Olympia

The USS Olympia in port at Penn's Landing.  The Olympia is part of the Independence Seaport Museum.  Penn's Landing has several cool boats to check out and some of them you can go aboard for a visit!
