2010 Year in Review

I wanted to do some post counting down my favorite pictures from 2010, but the time slipped by me with all the busy-ness of the holidays! However I still want to do my "Year in Review" and today is the first picture, which is my favorite picture from last January. A lot of you who follow me now didn't read back then, so I thought it would be fun to share some of these "older" photos!

Have a Sweet Christmas!

Candy house at Hershey Park! The house is made totally out of Hershey's brand candy and gum! Even the windows that look like stained glass are actually melted jolly ranchers! Hershey Park is about two hours away from Philadelphia and is definitely a sweet (ha!) place to visit!

It's begining to look a lot like...

Thanksgiving!
This house always has tons of decoration for whatever holiday will be coming up next! As soon as one holiday is over, decorations for the next one go up! Every time you walk by here you are sure to see some sort of holiday decor.

Green Beans

A couple having their picture taken with the green giant character at the Harvest Festival. I tried to get a shot without any random people in it, but there were so many people wanting their picture with this guy it was impossible!

Unfortunately I couldn't get the picture without the shadow. Oh well.

This coffee shop is getting into the Halloween spirit with some creepy yet skillfully carved jack-o-lanterns! (Chapter House Coffee Shop, 9th St)

Sisters Day!

Today is Sister's Day everyone! This is a holiday my family made up awhile ago to celebrate sisters! I figured by spreading the word, maybe other poeple will celebrate, too!
My sister and me waiting in line at Jim's Steaks for cheesesteaks!

History Ghosts

I saw this history interpreter crossing the street but could not get my camera out in time to get a picture from the front! She is like a ghost of Abigail Adams or Betsy Ross!
By the way- today is Constitution Day! So go read the Constitution or plead the 5th or use your freedom of speech to celebrate!

Wawa Hoagiefest!

Wawa is a convenience store in this area and they sponsored the 4th of July festivities this year in Philadelphia! During the parade they threw out little stuffed hoagies and this little girl next to me managed to snag one! Kind of cute for a plush sandwich!

Cooling Off

The fountain at Logan Square seemed like a good place for many people to cool off on the 4th of July. I temp was about 99F so I don't blame them! (despite the clear "no swimming" signs!)

I'm back!

4th of July parade in Philadelphia!
Sorry I have been missing the past week or two! I am now back to my regular schedule of posting daily photos!
