Fall Festival! {1}

Fall weekends around here bring us tons of options for fall festivals, corn mazes and pumpkin patches! This picture was taken at the Merrymead Farms pumpkin patch. It's Moses with the 10 commandments. Notice the only one written in English is "Thou shalt not steal!!"

Snowman!

Is it snow? Or is it gum?

Another gem from Hershey Park- the snowman is made of ice breakers gum with recees for buttons and twizzlers braided to look like a scarf!

Have a Sweet Christmas!

Candy house at Hershey Park! The house is made totally out of Hershey's brand candy and gum! Even the windows that look like stained glass are actually melted jolly ranchers! Hershey Park is about two hours away from Philadelphia and is definitely a sweet (ha!) place to visit!

An Apple Picking Good Time

That's me picking apples at the nearby Linvilla Orchards! It was pretty hot but it was still fun. Linvilla Orchards is a cool place to bring your family- they have a "fall festival" atmosphere, hay rides, pumpkin patch and play areas for kids!

Vineyards!

Another shot from Crossing Vineyards and Winery. I think this would be a beautiful place to have a wedding! You can see on the far left of the picture there are tents set up for the concert they had in the vineyard.

Wine Time

Wine barrels at the Crossing Vineyard and Winery in Bucks County. During the summer they did concerts on Friday nights at the vineyard.

Sailboats on a Sunday

Sailboats at Lake Nockamixon State Park. This park is a nice place to bring your family for picnics, hiking and boating.

Watery Wednesday

Hey folks! This is another waterfall from the nearby Pocono Mountains. This is Bridal Veil Falls, which is along the same path as the waterfall I showed you guys a few days ago, Bushkill falls.

A very specific sign

This sign is a little too specific, I think. On the escaltor you cannot push your baby stroller, wear roller skating sneakers or crocs! Crocs? Why can't people wear crocs on the escalator?

Revolutionary era characters at Valley Forge Park. I assume they are reviewing important war tactics.

Bushkill Falls

This is Bushkill Falls in the nearby Poconos Mnts. It is a beautiful hike and along the way you see several waterfalls in addition to Bushkill Falls. The trail is man made, with bridges and stairs all along and over the river.

Baby Fox

I'm sure that foxes aren't unique to this area but I just think this little guy is so cute that I had to share this picture! We saw him in Valley Forge Park, which is right outside Philadelphia.
