Cheesesteak

The chef at Jim's Steaks on South Street.
Who makes it best? Jim's, Pat's, or Gino's? I like Jim's personally.

Jim's Steaks

Jim's Steaks on South Street are, in my opinion, the best steaks in the city! I took this picture from outside while we waited in line to take my sister there when she visited. How do you like your cheesesteaks? With or without? Provolone, American or Wiz?

Theme Day: Bright Colors

Cheesesteak is one of Philly's most famous foods and in South Philly you will find the two famous steak shops right across the street from each other, Geno's and Pat's.

Today is a theme day at City Daily Photos! Click here to view thumbnails for all participants

Art, or just Graffiti?

This lovely gem recently popped up on the front of this garage building which I pass by almost daily. One day it wasn't there and then the next is was. I'm not really sure what the message in this painting is? I'm not really sure if the owners wanted this painted on their garage or if some random person just went ahead and did it. Honestly, I think its pretty ugly, but that's just me. Which of course leads to the age old question "is this art"?

Bottle Gate

I always walk by this gate and want to take a picture of it and I finally did!  The gate goes into someone's side yard and is decorated with different color bottles in a random pattern.  Just another example of the interesting artwork you can see all around Philadelphia!
